I see you
I see you – with the fear in your eyes, the exhaustion, the uncertainty.
I have felt those feelings and know how tough that combination can be.
I can see the pain in your neck, your shoulders, your back, the tension in your body. I have felt pain there in my body too.
I hear the way the tone of your voice has deepened slightly. I know how sadness lowers my voice sometimes too.
The energy it takes to hold it all together. To keep doing your best when it feels like the tide is flowing the other way. That desire to just give up and let go and be carried along by the force of the current, even though deep down you know you won’t. You’ll keep taking a step in the direction of truth for as long as it’s possible to keeping taking steps. And while that is all true, there are other parts of the story that are also true.
So let’s give the part of you that has been running the show a rest. Sit down and relax. Let’s explore the other parts of you that can step up for a while.
There is a part of you that is magical, that can come up with new ideas and solutions.
There is a part of you that is a leader, grounded in integrity and honesty and can see the bigger picture.
There is a playful child within you, lighthearted and fun loving.
Even during our most challenging times we can take a moment to notice which part of ourselves is getting the most airtime and make a choice.
We are more resourceful than we could ever imagine. We can tap into endless creativity. And let go of the need to control, relaxing into the moment. When I can’t find those parts within myself, I draw on the resourcefullness, creativity and appreciation from those who have trodden this path before me. I’m never alone. They are always alongside me, nourishing me with every step.
Let’s walk this path together. Inspire each other. Remind each other that even the impossible happens regularly and that this too shall pass.
